What do I Need to Properly Mount my Cargo Box?
If your vehicle already has a roof rack with sliding front to back crossbars you are set and ready to go. Double check to make sure the roof rack you have has a carrying weight limitation that exceeds the weight of the Cargo Box you choose. Also check to see that the crossbars will accommodate the width of the Cargo Box you choose.
What if my Vehicle has Side Rails but No Crossbars?
In most cases Retro-Fitted Crossbars can be purchased separately for that particular Vehicle. For special information about your particular Vehicle Crossbars go to the Yakima Site at www.yakima.com or to the Thule Site www.thule.com. If you do decide to purchase crossbars you want to be sure the crossbars and your Side Rail System have a carrying weight that exceeds the weight of the Cargo Box you choose.
Can the Cargo Box be Mounted to Round Crossbars and to Elliptical Crossbars?
Yes the Cargo Box can be Mounted to Round Crossbars and to the Elliptical Crossbars without any problem. The only limitation is with the width and depth of the crossbar. Crossbar width cannot exceed 4”. Crossbar depth cannot exceed 1.5”. Most crossbars are considerably less than these dimensions so this should not be a concern. If your vehicle has the exceptionally wide crossbars, then you will need to purchase a Compatible Crossbar Set.
Will All Packline Cargo Boxes Fit All Vehicle Roof Racks?
No. There are different widths and lengths to be considered. For instance the P115 has a 45” width and requires Crossbars that have at least a 45” inside the tower measurements. The P60 only requires a 24” inside the tower measurement. The length of the Cargo Box should be taken into consideration as well.
Does My Cargo Box come with a warranty?
Yes. Packline offers a 2 year limited warranty on all of our Cargo Boxes. This warranty covers all of the parts of the unit. Please note, however, that damage due to user error, ( like driving into a parking garage door opening) is not covered by the warranty.
